After Mannie died, in 2012, his wife Karen through a huge memorial
for him in a large room- maybe 50 yards long, 20 wide, overlooking
green hills. We all gathered to talk and dine. There were large photos
on display, and there was a 30-minute slide show featuring him and
many of us.
Bruno, my dad, was often misty-eyed. His one regret,
"Mannie should be here. He'd love this."
So on July 9th, 2016, we gathered at Bob's house to celebrate
My dad's life- just him and us, the family.
At the time, Dad was 89 and 9 months.
Dad lived for another year and five months.

In this next link is a video of us singing
Edelweiss, one of Dad's favorite songs (along with many others, including Opera.)
Dad made a scroll about his life and brought it.
A
10-second video/pan of the family, by Valerie
Sierra held us enrapt for 6 minutes.

"Edelweiss" is a
show tune from the 1959
Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The Sound of Music.
Here's a video of
1.5 minutes of his narration about it.
(His voice is high and weak due to Parkinsons.)
